Kyrgyzstan Halved Trade with Uzbekistan
According to the materials provided by the Kyrgyz customs, from January to July 2015, the volume of foreign trade turnover between the two Central Asian republics amounted to 78 million 442 thousand dollars compared to 142 million 602.6 thousand dollars for the same period in 2014, which is 64 million 160.6 thousand less.
During these seven months, the volume of imports from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 40 million 98.4 thousand dollars compared to 65 million 852.6 thousand dollars from January to July 2014. According to customs data, the volume of exports from the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan amounted to 38 million 343.6 thousand dollars compared to 76 million 750 thousand dollars for the same period in 2014. The total share of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover was only 2.5 percent.
