The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic informs entrepreneurs engaged in the retail sale of medical devices, including optics and hearing aid sales points, about new legislative requirements regarding the mandatory licensing of this activity.
These changes are enshrined in a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, which defines the retail sale of medical devices as an activity subject to licensing.
Among the products for which a license is required for sale are glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, and other goods registered in the country as medical.
The department emphasizes that legal trade in medical devices requires a standard license.
Licenses are issued by the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“Conducting activities without a license is an offense and may result in administrative measures,” the official statement said.
The Ministry of Health strongly recommends that entrepreneurs:
Contact the licensing department for medical and pharmaceutical services in advance to obtain consultations on the necessary documents and the procedure for submitting applications.
Timely licensing will ensure legal and uninterrupted business operations, as well as help avoid fines and comply with all legal requirements in the field of medical devices.
