Crematoriums may appear in Kyrgyzstan. The Cabinet has developed a draft law

The draft resolution is presented for public discussion

A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers titled "On the Approval of the Procedure for the Operation of Crematoriums on the Territory of the Kyrgyz Republic" has been submitted for discussion.

The document has been developed to implement Article 24 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Burial and Funeral Affairs," as well as to ensure appropriate legal regulation in the organization of crematorium operations in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Currently, there is no clear regulatory act in the country that details the rules for the operation of crematoriums, the procedure for cremation services, handling of ashes, and burial of urns.

The initiators emphasize that the adoption of this resolution is an important step towards creating a modern approach to funeral services that takes into account sanitary, environmental, and social aspects, as noted in the justification report.

The draft resolution includes a proposal to approve the Procedure for the Operation of Crematoriums, which will regulate the organization and provision of cremation services for deceased (fallen) citizens, the registration and acceptance of bodies for cremation, as well as the conduct of the cremation procedure itself, both planned and urgent. It is proposed to establish the procedure for issuing urns with ashes and the rules for their storage or burial, as well as to regulate the handling of anatomical remains subject to cremation, maintaining records and reporting (including cremation registration logs and urn issuance) and other aspects.
