It is planned to amend the existing resolution regarding public health standards.
The justification for the draft emphasizes that the transition to a 12-year educational model leads to a reduction in the number of preparatory groups in kindergartens and, consequently, an increase in the number of children entering the first grade. This creates a need to update the infrastructure of educational institutions, including improving the material and technical base and equipping them with necessary facilities.
The proposed changes include the following provisions:
- A ban on the placement of establishments selling or distributing food products within a radius of 100 meters from the school if they may be harmful to health.
- In densely populated areas and places with limited space, the construction of 4-story primary schools is permitted. The upper floor will not contain classrooms, but only administrative, utility, recreational, and additional educational rooms.
- The placement of cafeterias, libraries, sports halls, and assembly halls is allowed on the basement floors, provided there is natural and artificial lighting, compliance with temperature control and ventilation, as well as adherence to sanitary and hygienic standards.
