"79 people were taken to the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital, where they underwent examinations, and samples of gastric lavage and stool were collected for analysis. Five affected individuals sought help from private medical facilities. 12 children are hospitalized, while the others received outpatient care," the statement notes.
Preliminarily, the diagnosis is bacterial poisoning of unclear etiology.During the sanitary and epidemiological investigation, it was determined that the poisoning occurred due to the consumption of shawarma during lunch on October 31 in the school cafeteria. The first symptoms, such as vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and weakness, began to manifest in students a few hours after eating.
After receiving reports of the incident, CSSES specialists conducted a sanitary inspection of the school cafeteria and kitchen. Samples of food, daily samples, and swabs from equipment were collected, and staff involved in food preparation were examined. Compliance with sanitary regulations and food storage conditions was checked.
The school has been issued sanitary prescriptions to rectify violations and carry out complete disinfection.
Administrative protocols have been drawn up against the director for violations under two articles of the KR Code, with fines amounting to 5,000 and 23,000 soms.
CSSES continues the investigation and has promised to provide an assessment based on the results of laboratory tests, as well as to take necessary measures in accordance with the law.
