According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of children poisoned by shawarma at a private school has increased to 63.

Currently, 11 children and two adults are in the hospital. Their condition is assessed as relatively stable.

It was previously reported that on October 31, an incident of mass poisoning occurred at one of the private schools in Bishkek, resulting in 58 people seeking treatment at an infectious disease hospital. Among them, 54 were children and four were adults. All of them had consumed shawarma offered in the school cafeteria. After medical evaluation, 7 children and 2 adults were hospitalized, while the remaining 49 received outpatient treatment.

In connection with the mass poisoning, a sanitary and epidemiological investigation is underway. As a result of the inspection, protocols were drawn up against the school principal, and fines totaling 36,000 soms were imposed.
