Asel Tynchtykbek kyzy, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, was convicted and fined 20,000 soms for spreading false information through social media. The relevant documents were published online.

The decision was made on October 23 by the Leninsky District Court of Bishkek. It states that Asel, born in 1991, posted on September 23 claiming that citizen D. Kazakbaeva, working at school No. 14, was detained on corruption charges and then appointed as the director of school No. 13.

During the court proceedings, the defendant stated that she obtained the information from the internet.

Asel Tynchtykbek kyzy was held liable under Article 1071 "Defamation and insult contained in the media, on a website on the internet or on a page of a website on the internet" of the Code of Offenses, which served as the basis for the imposition of the fine.
