According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region, on October 24, a local resident, K.M., reported to the Suzak District Police Department. He stated that in the fall of 2023, two strangers, Oibek and Ulukbek, approached him and offered to sell a plot of land measuring 5.5 acres for the amount of 1 million soms. After receiving the money, they disappeared without fulfilling their obligations.
The incident was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes, and a criminal case was initiated for fraud under Article 209 of the Criminal Code.
As part of the investigation, the suspects were detained; they are residents of the Suzak district: U.K., born in 1969, and O.S., born in 1977.
On October 25, 2025, they were placed in a temporary detention facility, and the Suzak district court issued a decision to remand them in custody for two months.
Currently, further investigative activities are ongoing.
