According to Le Figaro, two men suspected of stealing jewelry from the famous Louvre have been detained in France. The incident occurred on October 25.
According to available information, one of the detainees was caught at Roissy Airport while he was about to fly to Algeria. The second suspect was arrested in the Seine-Saint-Denis area by officers of the Paris judicial police.
Both men have been charged with "organized theft" and "criminal conspiracy to commit a crime." It is worth noting that on October 19, eight historical pieces of jewelry worth approximately 88 million euros were stolen from the Apollo Gallery of the Louvre.
