As a result of the recent robbery at the Louvre, which occurred on October 19, part of its jewelry collection has been moved to the storage facility of the Bank of France. This decision was made on October 24 for security reasons, as reported by the French radio station RTL.

According to sources, the transportation process took place under strict security and complete secrecy. The jewels that were on display were transported with the help of a motorized convoy, accompanied by the Paris police, just 300 meters to the storage facilities of the Bank of France.

This decision was the result of an analysis of the museum's security system following the robbery, which involved four criminals. Government authorities and the Louvre management are striving to minimize potential risks.

Information about the specific items that were moved remains confidential for now. According to RTL, this concerns the so-called coronation jewels, which were previously displayed in the Apollo Gallery and other halls of the museum.

Now these valuables will be housed in the main storage of the National Bank of France, located 26 meters underground. This same location holds about 90% of the country's gold reserves, as well as Leonardo da Vinci's "Notebooks," which are valued at over 600 million euros.

Preliminary estimates suggest that the value of the eight historical pieces of jewelry stolen from the Louvre is around 88 million euros.
