At the AFI Fest, where Clooney presented his new film "Jay Kelly," he commented on the Louvre heist, which has become a hot topic on social media and spawned numerous memes. As a result of this incident, jewelry worth about $100 million was stolen.

Known for his role in the "Ocean's" films, Clooney noted that many are comparing real events to the plots of his movies. "I wonder if they will catch these guys? It seems they managed to evade punishment," he said in an interview with Variety.

The actor described the heist as "cool," but quickly clarified: "Actually, it's terrible. But if you're a professional thief, like me, then I really take pride in these guys."

According to the prosecutor's office, the crime became known on Sunday. The police reported that the robbery lasted only four minutes and involved four people, two of whom entered the museum. As a result of the theft, nine pieces of jewelry belonging to French queens and empresses were stolen, one of which has already been returned to the Louvre.

The robbers left the crime scene on scooters, and there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
