Detention of Officials in the GKNB Pre-Trial Detention Center
The Vice Mayor of Tash-Kumyr and the Director of the Municipal Property Department at the city hall have become subjects of a criminal case initiated by the GKNB, suspected of illegal actions involving land plots.
Security service specialists discovered that the officials were transferring municipal land into private hands. These plots were located in Shamaldy-Sai, as well as in the villages of Tendik, Chuyut-Sai, and Kyzyl-Alma, which were part of the city of Tash-Kumyr until 2024. The fraud was carried out through fictitious auctions with deliberately undervalued prices, causing significant damage to the local budget.
In addition, cases were identified where land was allocated for commercial facilities located in water protection zones and sanitary protection strips along railways.
On October 22, Niyazaly Koshokbaev, serving as Vice Mayor of Tash-Kumyr, and Umetaly Kerimkulov, Director of the Municipal Property Department, were placed in the GKNB pre-trial detention center.
