In the Chui region, police officers detained a suspect in a fraud case related to the installation of video surveillance. This information was provided by the press service of the law enforcement agencies.
The victim, a resident of the village of Dmitrievka, reported to the police about a man who introduced himself as an expert in the installation of video cameras and deceitfully took his money.
The applicant stated that the perpetrator offered to install eight cameras for a sum of 101,000 soms. After receiving the money, he provided used cameras, passing them off as new, simulated the installation, and disappeared. The funds obtained were used for personal needs, leaving the victim at a loss.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of operational activities, a man born in 1994 was detained, who is currently in a temporary detention facility. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention.
The investigation established that in December 2019, the detainee created a limited liability company through which he placed advertisements for providing video surveillance system installation services, misleading people. His involvement in similar crimes in other regions and in Bishkek has also been identified.
