The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that "the pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and other information in the interest of the investigation cannot be disclosed."
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan announced the start of an investigation following the publication of a video in which Ekaterina Bivol makes xenophobic statements towards citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The agency emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of interethnic respect and moral responsibility.
Later, the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek initiated a criminal case under Article 330 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to inciting racial, ethnic, or interethnic hatred. On October 25, Ekaterina Bivol was charged in absentia, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen at institution No. 21 of the State Penitentiary Service. She has been declared wanted.
After the investigation began, Ekaterina Bivol stated in an interview with a Russian publication that "the laws of Kyrgyzstan do not apply to her" and that no one had contacted her. She also noted that she resides in Russia and is subject only to Russian laws.
Dmitry and Ekaterina Bivol divorced in 2023 after 16 years of marriage, and they have two sons - Miron and Nikon, who remained with their mother after the divorce.
After the breakup, Ekaterina actively manages her social media, where she regularly posts emotional messages about her ex-husband, accusing him of hiding income to reduce the amount of alimony and criticizing his fans.
