In Bishkek, the Pervomaisky District Court has placed Ekaterina Bivol, the ex-wife of famous boxer Dmitry Bivol, under arrest in absentia. This was reported by the main department of internal affairs of the capital.
“On October 21, 2025, video materials appeared on social media in which Ekaterina Bivol, using her fame and influence in the media, made statements containing offensive and derogatory words towards the people of Kyrgyzstan,” said a representative of the Department of Internal Affairs.
In connection with this fact, the investigative service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek initiated a criminal case under Article 330 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning “Incitement of racial, ethnic, or religious hatred.” The penalty for this article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to seven years.
On October 25, 2025, Ekaterina Igorevna Bivol, born in 1990, was charged in absentia under this article,” the Department of Internal Affairs added.
The investigating judge of the Pervomaisky district chose a preventive measure in the form of detention and declared Ekaterina Bivol wanted, with custody in Institution No. 21 of the State Penitentiary Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investigation is ongoing.
