Content creators risk violating the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic in their pursuit of popularity.
The Main Internal Affairs Department of Kyrgyzstan's capital has reached out to bloggers and active social media users, reminding them of the importance of adhering to the country's legislation. The department expressed concern over the increasing number of incidents where pranks, live broadcasts, and staged shoots lead to actions that threaten public order and the safety of citizens.
Law enforcement agencies emphasized that the dissemination of content must comply with the norms of the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“In the event of legal violations, those responsible will be held accountable in accordance with the law — this may involve either administrative or criminal liability depending on the situation,” the Main Internal Affairs Department added.
In conclusion, police officers urged all bloggers, streamers, and content creators to demonstrate awareness and respect for public norms and the rights of citizens. They reminded that freedom of speech entails responsibility for the consequences of one's actions.
