The TV presenter requests the initiation of a criminal case against the blogger
Assol Moldokmatova, a well-known TV presenter and honored cultural figure of the Kyrgyz Republic, has submitted an appeal to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation requesting the initiation of criminal prosecution against Ekaterina Bivol. She reported this to Vesti.kg.
This initiative was prompted by offensive and provocative statements made by Bivol in her social media posts, which demean the dignity of various peoples.
The law firm "Arabiss Group" from Kyrgyzstan supported Moldokmatova and appealed to Russian law enforcement authorities based on part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the TV presenter demands the blocking of content created by Bivol, claiming that it "poses a real threat to interethnic peace and incites enmity, as well as humiliates the dignity of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic residing in Russia."
“We must understand that no one has the right to question the image of our nation and country. Such actions should provoke not only public condemnation but also legal consequences. Insults and degradation of a people, an entire nation, are signs of serious personal problems or deliberate provocation. It is important to realize that if statements are aimed at inciting interethnic hatred, then this is no longer just an opinion, but an action that requires legal assessment,” noted Assol Moldokmatova.
It is worth recalling that earlier Kyrgyzstani citizens expressed demands to hold Ekaterina Bivol accountable for insults against the Kyrgyz people. Recently, the former wife of the boxer has frequently made inappropriate statements about Kyrgyz and Kazakh people.
It is also reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has begun a preliminary investigation regarding Bivol due to her offensive comments about Kyrgyz and representatives of other nationalities.
