“Part of his demands has been met by the administration of the pre-trial detention center No. 1”
Imamidin Tashov, the founder of KG Group who is serving his sentence in pre-trial detention center No. 1, has decided to end his hunger strike. This was reported by his lawyer Asel Argymbaeva.
During a visit on October 23, the lawyer met with Tashov, who stated that he made the decision to end the hunger strike after a conversation with a representative of the institution's administration.
“Some of his demands have been met. According to Tashov, the staff of the pre-trial detention center have started to behave more respectfully. Inmates are now receiving clean bed linen, pillows, and blankets. The administration promised to hold a staff meeting regarding the unacceptable nature of rude treatment of detainees. The issue of forced shaving of hair and wearing black clothing remains unresolved and will be addressed in court. A corresponding lawsuit is planned to be filed after the inspections are completed,” Asel Argymbaeva said.
Earlier, the lawyer informed that during the hunger strike, which lasted 22 days, Tashov lost 19 kilograms.
It is worth noting that Imamidin Tashov was arrested in April 2024 on charges of attempting to seize power by force. In July 2025, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek sentenced him to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property.
