Additionally, the court recognized the actions of journalists Bolot Temirov and Rinat Tukhvatshin, related to these projects, as extremist. According to the court's decision, their activities are subject to prohibition, and their social media pages must be blocked.
The prosecution's statement indicated that "individuals who disseminated or republished materials from the mentioned projects may be subject to criminal liability in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan."
Temirov Live is a media project created by journalist Bolot Temirov, known for its investigations into corruption and abuses. In January 2022, Temirov was detained, and in November of the same year, the court ruled for his expulsion from the country after his citizenship was deemed invalid.
On January 16, 2024, 11 journalists working on the Temirov Live and "Ayt Ayt dese" projects were detained, accused of inciting disobedience to authority and organizing mass riots. In October of the same year, the Lenin District Court of Bishkek issued a verdict: Bolot Temirov's wife, Mahabat Tajibek kyzy, was sentenced to six years in prison, while Azamat Ishenbekov received five years. Aktilek Kaparov and Aike Beishikeeva were given three years of probation. The other participants in the case were acquitted.
As for "Kloop Media," it is an online publication founded in 2007 by Rinat Tukhvatshin and Bektur Iskender. In 2023, the prosecution filed a lawsuit for the liquidation of the Kloop Media public fund, accusing the organization of failing to meet its statutory objectives. The editorial team characterized the lawsuit as politically motivated. In February 2024, the court granted the lawsuit, and the organization was liquidated as a legal entity on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
