At the meeting of the working group on October 22, investigator E. Zhenishbekov from the Issyk-Kul Police Department made a decision to refuse to initiate a criminal case, stating that Asanov's actions do not constitute a crime. Nevertheless, the working group recommended that the CEC hold him accountable under Article 66 of the Code of Violations of the KR for disseminating knowingly false information about the candidate. The Central Election Commission agreed with the recommendation.
A similar situation occurred with the complaint from the representative of candidate Yrysbek Atazhanov (district No. 2) regarding Erkin Uraskulov. His statement claims that Uraskulov also published and disseminated materials on Facebook that tarnish Atazhanov's dignity. The investigator, after examining the facts, also refused to initiate a criminal case, pointing to the absence of a crime, and again recommended referring to Article 66 of the Code of Violations of the KR.
