At a press conference in London, held as part of the "coalition of the willing" meeting, Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary General, confirmed that the question of providing Ukraine with long-range "Tomahawk" missiles remains open and depends on the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump. This statement was made in response to questions from journalists, reports Sky News.

Rutte noted that each member country of the alliance decides for itself what types of weapons it is willing to provide to Ukraine. He added that the U.S. has already begun to expand its support for Ukraine's defensive capabilities, including the supply of systems, decisions on which will be made solely by Washington.

The NATO Secretary General emphasized that the final decision on the "Tomahawk" rests with the American president.

Earlier, Trump indicated that he is not yet ready to consent to the transfer of long-range missiles to Ukraine, as the Ukrainian military needs at least six months to master them. He also denied information from The Wall Street Journal that the U.S. had already allowed Ukraine to use long-range missiles.
