A mass intoxication occurred in Bishkek after consuming shawarma
A mass poisoning took place in one of the private schools in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
According to medical workers, on October 31, around 10:00 PM, people with symptoms of food poisoning, including repeated vomiting, diarrhea, and severe abdominal pain, were hospitalized at the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Preliminary data indicates that all the affected individuals consumed shawarma during lunch at the school on the same day.
A total of 58 cases were registered, including 54 children and 4 adults.
- Of these, 9 patients (7 children and 2 adults) were hospitalized, and their condition is assessed as stable.
- 49 people were discharged for outpatient treatment after examination and medical assistance, with the necessary recommendations.
All patients underwent gastric lavage until clear water was obtained, and necessary tests were taken.
