Japan financed the supply of medical equipment for the regions of Kyrgyzstan

The signing ceremony of grant agreements took place in Bishkek, timed to the Japanese program "Roots of Grass and Human Security," aimed at improving the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

The event was attended by the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Erkin Checheybaev, the Ambassador of Japan to Kyrgyzstan, Hideki Goda, as well as representatives of medical institutions that received grants.

The Center for General Medical Practice in the Ton District of the Issyk-Kul Region will receive new medical equipment, including a video colposcope, electrocardiograph, ENT unit, and sterilization equipment. The grant amount is $44,400, which will improve the quality of preventive and diagnostic services for local residents.

In addition, the Center for General Medical Practice in the Alay District of the Osh Region will be equipped with an anesthesia machine, surgical lights, and an electrocautery device for a total of $64,800. This will enhance the accessibility and safety of medical care in the southern regions of the country.

Erkin Checheybaev thanked the Japanese government and people for their continuous support in developing Kyrgyzstan's medical infrastructure. He noted that cooperation with Japan positively impacts the strengthening of primary healthcare and the improvement of medical services in the regions.
