In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, an important event took place: a cooperation agreement was signed between the French Embassy and the National Hospital, which is under the Ministry of Health of the country. This document aims to improve the emergency medical care system and develop professional ties between specialists in Kyrgyzstan and France.
The signing ceremony took place in a friendly and productive atmosphere. The agreement includes the organization of internships and study trips for Kyrgyz doctors to France, the exchange of experiences in emergency medicine, as well as the implementation of modern European standards in the healthcare system of Kyrgyzstan.

On the Kyrgyz side, the agreement was signed by Bakyt Tologonov, the chief physician of the National Hospital, who emphasized the importance of this initiative for reforming the medical system and training qualified specialists.

- This agreement is critically important for the development of our emergency medical system. We approached the French Embassy for support, especially in the area of experience exchange and the implementation of best practices, - said Tologonov.

He added that with the help of their French colleagues, their staff would be able to visit clinics specializing in emergency care. Until recently, the ambulance system in the country was fragmented, with various services operating independently of each other. Since last year, the implementation of a centralized emergency care system has begun, but difficulties have arisen due to a lack of experience.

According to Tologonov, this agreement and the support of the embassy will help adopt international experience, strengthen the qualifications of specialists, and bring the emergency medical system up to world standards. If everything goes well, similar practices will be used in the country.

Nicolas Fay, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of France to Kyrgyzstan, emphasized that this agreement opens new horizons for medical cooperation between the two countries.

- I am confident that you will have successful cooperation with the Foch Hospital, which is a leading medical institution in Paris. Representatives of this hospital have already visited Kyrgyzstan to assess the situation on the ground. This is the first concrete step in medical cooperation, and I hope for its long-term perspective. France is ready to share its knowledge and experience in emergency medicine, - added the ambassador.

He also reminded about a previously successful telemedicine project that provides access to medical consultations for residents of remote mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan. In his opinion, such initiatives are extremely important for improving access to medical care and will continue to develop.
In an interview with the publication VB.KG, Nicolas Fay described what this agreement will bring to Kyrgyzstan:

- This is cooperation in the field of emergency medicine, as Kyrgyzstan has expressed a need to develop this sector and is carrying out reforms. Within the framework of the project, a study trip will be organized for a group of Kyrgyz specialists to France, where they will be able to learn how our ambulance system works. Some participants of the internship will stay for one to two weeks for a more in-depth study.

- We are confident that this project will be a significant step in the development of the Kyrgyz healthcare system, help strengthen ties between medical institutions of the two countries, and improve the quality of emergency care. France is ready to support Kyrgyzstan on its path to improving its healthcare system, - concluded the ambassador.
