According to preliminary data, the tragedy happened late at night on October 31, at the 67 km mark of the Osh–Erketchtam–Sary-Tash road, not far from the village of Tash-Koroo in the Alaï district.
At around 01:15, two vehicles collided — a HOWO truck and a Tesla car. As a result of the collision, five men who were in the car died at the scene.
As reported by Turmush, the deceased were returning from a memorial service held in the village of Zhylyu-Suu. According to local residents, they were friends and relatives.
The identities of the deceased are being established.
A rescue team from the Alaï district department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, led by Captain Semetey uulu B., was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers extracted the driver of the truck — E. uulu A., who was injured and taken to the Alaï district hospital.
The five deceased men were removed from the vehicle and handed over to law enforcement representatives.
The causes of the accident and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
According to preliminary data, the deceased were born in 1992.
This is already the second incident with a large number of casualties, occurring on the Osh–Sary-Tash–Irkeshtham road. The Osh–Alaï road follows the same route. On October 30, a traffic accident occurred at the 78 km mark of the Osh–Sary-Tash–Erketchtam road, claiming the lives of 5 people.
According to their information, the 68-year-old driver, who was at the wheel, suffered a heart attack while driving. It is reported that his mother and daughter, his daughter's husband, and an uncle died.
