The Kyrgyz diaspora in the USA has started a fundraising campaign
As a result of a traffic accident in the USA, two citizens of Kyrgyzstan died, one of whom is in critical condition. This information was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
According to media reports, the incident occurred on the night of October 27 in West Lafayette, Indiana. A Mercedes-Benz vehicle collided with a concrete pole and caught fire. At the scene, Kyrgyz citizen Chyngyz Sarybaev died, while 21-year-old Yasin Seydibaliev passed away in the hospital. The third participant in the accident, Kairat Altynbekov, is in serious condition in a medical facility.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Chicago is in contact with the families of the deceased and the injured, providing consular-legal assistance. Communication has also been established with local law enforcement agencies and funeral services.
“Currently, work is being carried out together with the competent authorities of the USA to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy, as well as to organize the necessary procedures, including the transportation of the bodies of the deceased back to their homeland,” the official statement said.
