According to information provided by the press service of the regional police department, the incident occurred on October 28 at around 01:40 in the town of Orlovka in the Kemin district. During a patrol, a mobile group of traffic police officers stopped a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicle. The check revealed that the driver was a 34-year-old man named Z.A., who was driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
When the police officers began to take the vehicle to a specialized impound lot, the driver attempted to flee. He drove onto the bypass road Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart and, ignoring the demands of law enforcement, collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero vehicle at 90 km on this road, as well as ran over a patrol officer, causing him bodily harm. This incident has been recorded, and a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 280 ("Hooliganism") of the Criminal Code.
Z.A. was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
As part of the investigation, forensic examinations have been appointed, and the vehicle has been placed in the impound lot. The investigation is ongoing.
