According to the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui Region, the incident occurred when a mobile group of the Traffic Police stopped the specified vehicle during patrol. As a result of the inspection, it was established that the driver was 36-year-old Z.A., who was in a state of alcohol intoxication.
At the moment when the vehicle was instructed to proceed to the impound lot, the driver attempted to flee. On the bypass road Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart, at the 90th kilometer, he collided with a "Mitsubishi Pajero" and then ran over a police officer.
The police officer sustained injuries and was hospitalized. Based on the collected materials, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning hooliganism.
The driver was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. Judicial and legal examinations have also been appointed, and the vehicle has been placed in a specialized parking lot.
The investigation of the incident is ongoing, and the actions of the detainee will be assessed from a legal standpoint.
