According to law enforcement agencies, the accident happened on October 13 at 20:25 on Mahatma Gandhi Street, near house No. 158. The victim, G.T., succumbed to his injuries before reaching a medical facility. The driver who caused the accident left the scene.
On the following day, October 14, officers from the search department of the Department for Combating Crime detained the driver of the Kia K5, M.A., born in 1983, who was found to be in a state of intoxication. He was placed in a temporary detention facility pending judicial proceedings.
