A truck carrying laboratory monkeys was involved in an accident
According to media reports, an incident involving monkeys infected with dangerous viruses occurred in the USA.
This happened on October 28 in Mississippi when a truck transporting laboratory monkeys was involved in a traffic accident, allowing the animals to escape. It is specified that these monkeys are carriers of hepatitis C and COVID-19.
“Each monkey weighs about 40 pounds, they can exhibit aggression towards people and require special protective measures during contact. These monkeys carry hepatitis C, herpes, and COVID-19,” police representatives reported.
Law enforcement officers managed to catch all the escaped animals except for one.
