Assistance will be directed to needy families
The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyrgyzstan reported on the delivery of humanitarian aid. During the event held on October 27, 121.440 tons of sunflower oil were transferred.
Representatives of the World Food Program of the UN and the Consulate General of Russia in Osh participated in the ceremony.
The distribution of products will be organized with the help of the UN WFP and local authorities to support needy families in southern Kyrgyzstan.
The embassy emphasized that for the past 15 years, Russia and the UN WFP have jointly supported the citizens of Kyrgyzstan at various levels—from emergency assistance and recovery to development, including initiatives such as the National School Nutrition Program.
