About 6-7 tons of smuggled rice discovered
In the Kadamjay district, members of an organized crime group engaged in smuggling were detained.
According to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), the group, consisting of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, was smuggling various goods along the route "Fergana - Chon-Kara - Kadamjay".
“Citizens of Uzbekistan were purchasing rice in large quantities on their territory, after which it was transported to the territory of the enclave "Chon-Kara" through the Kadamjay district. Then the goods, illegally exported from "Chon-Kara", were unloaded in the Kadamjay area to a citizen of Kyrgyzstan in the Ak-Turpakskiy ayil aiymak and sold on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. Currently, one of the participants in the smuggling, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan M.N.A., is under investigation,” the special service reported.
