In the Kadamjai area, a batch of rice weighing between 6 to 7 tons was seized, which was being illegally imported into Kyrgyzstan from Uzbekistan, as reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security.

According to available information, an organized criminal group consisting of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan had been operating in this area for a long time. This group violated customs, tax, and border laws by smuggling various goods along the route from Fergana to Chon-Kara to Kadamjai.

According to preliminary data, members of the criminal group purchased rice in large quantities on the territory of Uzbekistan. They then transported it to the Chon-Kara enclave through the Kadamjai district, after which they carried out illegal export and sale on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, particularly in the Ak-Turpak rural area.

At the moment, one of the suspects is under investigation — a citizen of Kyrgyzstan named M. N. A., as stated in the official report.
