25 years ago, the property was illegally privatized
In Naryn, the building of the art gallery has been returned under state control, as reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
As specialists found out, in 2000, the building of the city library along with a land plot of 1350 square meters was illegally transferred into private hands of a citizen S.A.M. Subsequently, a new building of the art gallery was constructed on this plot.
“As a result of the conducted activities, citizen S.A.M. agreed to return this property to the balance of the Naryn Regional Historical and Ethnographic Museum named after Kaken Mambetaliev,” the official statement notes.
