A man has been arrested
Employees of the tourist-ecological police of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region conducted a raid, during which a 23-year-old resident of the village of Kyzyl-Tuu was detained for illegal fishing.
The detention took place on the night of October 24, when the man was caught at the spot where the Kyzyl-Tuu River flows into Lake Issyk-Kul. He was using a pitchfork to catch fish, which is a serious violation of environmental legislation, according to the Internal Affairs Department.
The investigation revealed that a month ago, this same individual had already been held accountable for a similar violation. As a result of that incident, a criminal case was initiated, and he was placed under house arrest.
Now, a criminal case has been reopened against the offender under Article 310 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The first-instance court has sentenced him to one month of arrest. The investigation is currently ongoing.
