According to their information, on October 24, the Internal Affairs Department of the Jeti-Oguz district received operational information that unknown individuals were committing theft of yaks in the Syrtovaya valley of the district.
The information was registered in the Unified Register of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jeti-Oguz district, and a preliminary investigation was initiated.
“On October 25, a resident of the village of Barskoon, A.K., born in 1987, filed a report with the Internal Affairs Department. In her statement, she reported that the day before, around 12:30 PM, in the Karakolka valley, at the Kaz pasture, five unknown individuals shot and stole three yaks belonging to her. When A.K. attempted to intervene, the criminals fled the scene,” the report states.
The material damage amounted to 600,000 soms.
During investigative and operational activities, officers of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jeti-Oguz district detained the suspects on the Kumtor-Barskoon highway near the Sary-Moinok post. They were in a “Mercedes-Benz Sprinter” van. The suspects attempted to flee, not complying with the lawful demands of the police, but were ultimately apprehended.
The suspects were:
• Ch.K., born in 1989, a resident of the village of Barskoon;
• E.D., born in 1987, a resident of the village of Kichi-Jargylchak;
• I.I., born in 2005, a resident of the village of Kichi-Jargylchak;
• A.S., born in 1993, a resident of the city of Karakol;
• S.S., born in 2004, a resident of the village of Kyzyl-Suu.
The fact of the theft has been registered in the Unified Register of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jeti-Oguz district, and a criminal case has been initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the preliminary interrogation, the suspects fully admitted their guilt and were taken into custody by the decision of the district court.
An investigation is underway.
