
In the Issyk-Kul region, in the Jeti-Oguz district, an operation was conducted to detain suspects related to the theft of yaks, as reported by the press service of the local police department.
The incident occurred on October 24, when a resident of the village of Barskoon, born in 1987, named A.K., contacted the police. She reported that in the area of the "Kaz uya" pasture in the "Karakolka" valley, five unknown individuals shot three of her yaks. A.K.'s attempt to stop the criminals was unsuccessful, and they fled the scene.
The damage caused to the woman is estimated at 600,000 soms.
Officers of the Jeti-Oguz police department, conducting investigative actions, detained the suspects on the Kumtor–Barskoon road, near the Sary-Moynok post. The offenders attempted to escape from law enforcement, not complying with their demands, but were apprehended.
The detained individuals were:
- Ch.K., born in 1989, a resident of the village of Barskoon;
- E.D., born in 1987, a resident of the village of Kichi-Jargylchak;
- I.I., born in 2005, a resident of the village of Kichi-Jargylchak;
- A.S., born in 1993, a resident of the city of Karakol;
- S.S., born in 2004, a resident of the village of Kyzyl-Suu.
During the preliminary interrogation, all detainees admitted their guilt and were placed in custody by court decision. The investigation is currently ongoing.
