
Suspects in the theft of yaks detained
In the Issyk-Kul region, in the Jeti-Oguz district, individuals suspected of stealing yaks have been detained. This was reported by the press service of the local police department.
According to the agency, on October 25, a woman born in 1987 from the village of Barskoon contacted the police. She reported that on October 24, around 12:30 PM, in the "Karakolka" valley, a group of five unknown individuals shot and stole three yaks belonging to her. When A.K. attempted to stop the criminals, they fled the scene. The damage from the theft amounted to 600,000 soms.
During the operational activities conducted, officers of the Jeti-Oguz district police department detained the suspects on the Kumtor – Barskoon highway, near the Sary-Moynok post. They attempted to escape in a Mercedes Benz Sprinter, failing to comply with the police's demands, but were apprehended.
The suspects turned out to be:
- C.K., born in 1989, a resident of the village of Barskoon;
- E.D., born in 1987, a resident of the village of Kichi-Jargylchak;
- I.I., born in 2005, a resident of the village of Kichi-Jargylchak;
- A.S., born in 1993, a resident of the city of Karakol;
- S.S., born in 2004, a resident of the village of Kyzyl-Suu.
The fact of the theft has been registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Jeti-Oguz district police department, and a criminal case has been initiated against the suspects under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the interrogation, the suspects fully confessed to their guilt and were taken into custody by the decision of the district court.
