Preliminary data indicates that the driver, born in 1989, was operating a "Daimler Benz 313" vehicle owned by LLC "Liberty-Med." He was traveling north on 7 April Street and struck a man born in 1957 at a pedestrian crossing in front of house No. 42, as the man was crossing the road from west to east.
The victim was immediately taken to the intensive care unit, where he was diagnosed with a severe traumatic brain injury and a concussion. Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the doctors, the man passed away without regaining consciousness.
The traffic accident has been registered in the automated information system of the capital's police department. An investigation is currently underway to determine all the circumstances of the incident.
