In the city of Osh, at the school named after Gorky, a day of remembrance was held for the children who lost their lives as a result of a tragic incident. Recall that on October 3, a fire broke out in one of the residential buildings on Orozbekova Street, claiming the lives of six people—a mother and her five children, four of whom were students at school No. 8 named after M. Gorky. In their memory, a special day was held on October 24.

Erkinay Asanova, the deputy director of the school for academic affairs, reported that among the victims were Mukhamadal (7th grade), Safiya (6th grade), Saida (3rd grade), and Raena (2nd grade). “Unfortunately, they all perished in that terrible fire. Each class teacher organized memorial events. Parents, students, and teachers raised funds; however, the children's father, Oybek Abdullayev, thanked everyone and suggested using this money to purchase an interactive whiteboard in memory of his children and to hold a prayer for them,” Asanova shared.

The fire occurred on the night of October 22, claiming the lives of a 34-year-old woman and her five children, aged 13, 11, 9, 6, and 2 years. According to preliminary data, the fire started in the basement and quickly spread to the roof of the building. Specialists noted that the house was under renovation, and an electric heater was being used in the basement, which could have been the cause of the fire.

The family's funeral took place on October 23, attended by the city mayor, deputies, and residents. Oybek Abdullayev, who was working in South Korea at the time, returned home to bid farewell to his family.
Among the deceased were: Sadbar—the mother, as well as her children—Mukhamadkadir, Raena, Saida, Safiya, and Mukhamadal.
