The celebration began with the laying of flowers at the memorial in honor of the soldiers who died in 1999–2000 while defending the borders of Kyrgyzstan. The participants of the event performed the National Anthem, and then a salute was given in memory of the heroes.
The mayor of the city, Ulan Mailibashev, emphasized that the feat of the Batken defenders is a symbol of true courage, loyalty, and love for the Motherland. He noted that their names will forever remain in the hearts of the people and will serve as an inspiration for future generations.
During the event, participants of the Batken events were awarded Honorary Certificates for their heroism and bravery.
At the conclusion of the rally, those present honored the memory of the fallen with a moment of silence. After that, a prayer was read and flowers were laid in their honor.
