Russian Film Week in Kyrgyzstan

“Russian Film Week”
From July 19 to 25, “Russian Film Week” will take place in the cities of Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul region) and Kant (Chui region), during which the Honored Artist of the RSFSR, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR Natalia Arinbasarova will present the film “The First Teacher” to the guests.
The event is organized by the “ELS” production center, with the partnership of the Cholpon-Ata city administration.
The grand opening will feature a screening of the film based on the works of the outstanding writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, in honor of the 90th anniversary of his birth.
A visit from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Askar Aitmatov is also expected, with the event being hosted by Assol Moldokmatova.
The weekly program includes screenings of six new Russian feature films: “Frozen Carp” (director V. Kott), “Tanks” (K. Druzhinin), “From the Bottom of the Peak” (Ya. Polyarush), “Pure Art” (R. Davletyarov), and “Sobibor” (K. Khabensky).
In addition, there will be a creative meeting with the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, actress of the Luna Theater, author, and performer Elena Kondulainen.
It is worth noting that the film “From the Bottom of the Peak” will also be screened at the aviation base club of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the city of Kant.
