The CSTO Air Base in Kyrgyzstan will send schoolchildren from the city of Kant to a New Year's tree event in Yekaterinburg.

Six children under the age of 11 from four schools in Kant will go to the governor's New Year tree. The selection of children was carried out by the head of the mayor's office of the city of Kant, Ekaterina Fast. She noted that orphans and children from low-income families were selected for the trip to Yekaterinburg.
– Thanks to the efforts of the ODKB air base "Kant" and its commander Alexander Orlov, six of our children from low-income families will go to the governor's New Year tree in Yekaterinburg in January. This is a very significant event. We have never had anything like this before, – said the mayor of Kant, Erkin Abdrakhmanov, just before handing out the invitation tickets to the New Year tree. – I also want to express my gratitude to those people who responded to the initiative of the air base and provided financial assistance for organizing the trip. I wish the children a good rest and the most colorful impressions from the trip.
After the ceremony of handing out invitations to the Russian New Year tree, the commander of the air base, Alexander Orlov, noted that the main goal of this trip is to show children from Kyrgyzstan the beauty of the Russian winter, the traditions of celebrating the New Year in Russia, and to introduce the kids from the city of Kant to the architecture of Yekaterinburg.
– We are a brotherly nation. We have lived and worked together for a long time. And nothing can break our ties. The policy of our state and our president is aimed at bringing brotherly nations closer together, – said Orlov. – This trip is a great opportunity to broaden our horizons and find new friends in Russia. We are taking a small step towards a great friendship between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
It should be noted that for the children, the trip to Russia has become a real New Year surprise. One of the invitees to the tree, Islam Sultanov, told the correspondent of IA that he really wants to visit Russia but is afraid of the harsh winter.
– I really want to go to the New Year tree in Yekaterinburg. They say it’s very interesting there. And it’s also very cold. So the hat and scarf that I was given today will be very useful for me in Russia, – shared his thoughts about the trip the schoolboy.
The organization of the trip received significant financial support from the Association of Guilds of Compatriots, particularly in purchasing airline tickets for the participants of the governor's New Year tree and providing them with warm winter clothing.
– We are happy to be part of such a good project. Since our association includes representatives of the light industry of Kyrgyzstan, our famous tailors, we decided to dress the kids in everything made in our republic: jackets, sweaters, festive dresses for girls, – said the head of the Association of Guilds of Compatriots, Lyubov Ardamina.
Accompanying the children on the trip will be the head of the public organization "Chaika," deputy of the Kant city council, Lyudmila Zhukova. A detailed program of the trip is currently being developed. After returning, the children will present a detailed photo report about the trip in their schools.
