Kamchibek Uzakbaev, Director of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health: In Kyrgyzstan, laparoscopic methods of treating diseases in childhood will be implemented.
For the first time, world-renowned specialists in laparoscopic treatment methods for children have been invited to Kyrgyzstan. These operations in childhood are considered very promising worldwide because they are minimally invasive, have low trauma, and are highly effective.
On October 28-29, 2014, Igor Poddubny, head of the Department at Moscow State Medical University, conducted a master class and gave lectures to our specialists. We had performed surgeries before, but we had never done operations of this level using endoscopic methods. This will be a great help to our children if we implement these new techniques.
In just two days of work, seven operations were performed on Kyrgyz children. The focus of the master class was on hernias, varicocele, and diseases of the kidneys and spleen.
We agreed to continue our cooperation and to implement these new techniques for us, and we will send our specialists for training.
