Representatives of local government, city residents, and young artists attended the celebration.
The guests were presented with a video dedicated to the life and work of Turgunbay Sadykov, as well as an exhibition of works created by the students of the art school.
Turgunbay Sadykov was the initiator of the establishment of the National Academy of Fine Arts and the children's art school affiliated with it.
Among his notable works are the monument to the manaschi located in the square in front of the National Philharmonic in Bishkek, the monument "To the Heroes of the Revolution" near the Ala-Too cinema, as well as a complex dedicated to the participants of World War II on S. Ibragimov Street and the Freedom Monument in Ala-Too Square.
The art school in Manas was founded by Turgunbay Sadykov in 2000. In 2025, by order of the Ministry of Education, it was named after the sculptor and became the "Republican Art School named after Turgunbay Sadykov."
