Torobekov Suuitbek Satymbekovich
Painter. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Excellent Educator of the Kyrgyz Republic. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic named after T. Sadykov. Born on February 12, 1957, in the village of Kirovskoye, Talas region. In 1977, he graduated from the Frunze Art School.
In 1977-1978, he worked at the Kirov Film Installation Directorate as an advertising artist. In 1984, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after I.E. Repin.
In 1984, he became a teacher at the Kyrgyz State Art School named after S.A. Chuykov. Since 1998, he has been the head of the easel painting department at the National Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Since 1988, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Participant of republican and international exhibitions.
Torobekov is known as a portraitist, shaped by the influence of the Russian classical school of painting. In Torobekov's portraits, the viewer is attracted not only by the profound and detailed revelation of the inner world of the person and the artistic integrity, the convincing interpretation of the image, which serves as a criterion for the value of this genre of visual art, but also by the possibilities of searching for ever new life energies within them. The artist is the author of landscape paintings with lyrical resonance, and the genre of everyday life occupies an important place in his work. He has made a significant contribution to the development of contemporary painting in Kyrgyz visual art.
His works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev; in the Exhibition and Panorama Directorate (Moscow), in museums and private collections in both near and far abroad.
