The Deputy Chairperson of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Baktygul Zheenbaeva, met with the grandson of the great akyn, composer, and komuz player Toktogul Satylganov, artist Moldozhan Toktogulov.
During the meeting, B. Zheenbaeva presented the descendant of the akyn-improviser with commemorative banknotes with a denomination of 100 soms, issued by the National Bank in honor of the 150th anniversary of T. Satylganov. “This year, Kyrgyzstan celebrates the 150th anniversary of the famous Kyrgyz akyn. The National Bank has specially issued commemorative banknotes for this date. Allow me, on behalf of the management and staff of the bank, to present you with several copies of the banknotes,” she said, handing them to M. Toktogulov.
In turn, Moldozhan Toktogulov expressed gratitude to the management of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic for creating the commemorative banknotes. “It is joyful and pleasant that special banknotes with the inscription ‘Togtogulga 150 yıl’ have been issued in honor of the anniversary of one of the outstanding sons of the Kyrgyz people,” M. Toktogulov shared, presenting in return a collection of works by T. Satylganov titled “Tandalmalar.”

Since October 20, 2014, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has put into circulation a commemorative banknote with a denomination of 100 soms in honor of the 150th anniversary of the outstanding Kyrgyz akyn, composer, and komuz player Toktogul Satylganov.
Description of the banknote:
On the white field of the watermark, there is a golden profile of Toktogul Satylganov framed by a national ornament with a bluish commemorative inscription “Togtogulga 150 yıl.” The commemorative inscription, ornament, and profile are made using offset printing technology. The banknote is covered with a special lacquer coating Securicoat™. The hidden image is made with a color rainbow image Dynamic©. The print run is 3000 copies.
