Omor Sultanovich Sultanov (1935—2022) was an outstanding poet and public figure who was awarded the title of People's Poet of Kyrgyzstan in 1993. He is the author of numerous well-known works, including poetry collections, novels, film scripts, and translations. His works have been translated into many languages, including Russian, English, German, Spanish, Polish, Hungarian, Mongolian, and Tatar.
