On April 3, 2015, at 1:00 PM, the opening of the book and illustrative exhibition "Amazing Song World Talent", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the laureate of the Alykuula Osmonov Prize, the people's poet of the Kyrgyz Republic, artist, and translator Ramis Ryskulov, will take place in the foyer of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic.
R. Ryskulov was born in the village of Kyzyl-Tuu in the Moscow district in a family of a civil servant. In 1951, he graduated from the Frunze Pedagogical School, and in 1959, he graduated from the A.M. Gorky Literary Institute under the USSR Writers' Union in Moscow. From 1953 to 1955, he studied at the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the Komsomol.
He began his labor biography as a literary worker in the editorial office of the newspaper "Kyrgyzstan Pioneri", then worked in the editorial office of the newspaper "Leninchil Zhas", and in the editorial office of the magazine "Ala-Too". Since 1960, he has been engaged in creative work.
R. Ryskulov's poetic talent revealed itself very early. His first poetry collection "Jaz" ("Spring") was published in 1959. Since then, a number of poetry collections and poems have emerged from R. Ryskulov's pen, which have been warmly loved by readers. The poet is one of the bold experimenters who renewed Kyrgyz poetry by introducing free verse. The poetry collection "Yrlor" ("Poems") was awarded the literary prize of the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan named after A. Osmonov in 1986.
Ramis Ryskulov is one of the most original and recognizable poets of modern Kyrgyzstan. In his works, the author expresses himself in an original, direct, sincere, and expressive manner. His pen is responsible for well-known expressions such as "The Poet and the Artist have no career. They have the barriers of fate." "My burlesques frolic in primal brilliance." "My element and hobby are phantasmagoria, allegory. I sing of the crimson dawns." "My deputation was hindered by my street reputation," and others.
Ramis Ryskulov is also known for his translation work; he has translated the works of A.S. Pushkin, V.V. Mayakovsky, N.A. Nekrasov, A. Voznesensky, and others into Kyrgyz.
The book and illustrative exhibition features books, newspaper and magazine articles, and illustrations depicting the life and creative path of R. Ryskulov.
Writers, poets, university students, cultural and educational workers, and media representatives will participate in the event.
