The television companies “CBS” (USA) and “First Field International” (Russia), with the support of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, will shoot another season of the rating reality show “Amazing Race” in the Kyrgyz Republic.
This program has been on the air for over thirteen years and has won 14 Emmy awards (a world record in the reality TV category). The audience for the reality show exceeds 50.0 million people. The program is broadcast by the “CBS” channel during prime time.
The producers of the program are stars of the television world on a global scale: Jerry Bruckheimer, creator of such blockbusters as “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Pearl Harbor,” “Enemy of the State,” “Armageddon,” and others, and Bertram van Munster, the founder of the reality show genre and former communications expert for U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
“Amazing Race” is a reality program where players compete around the world. Over 13 one-hour episodes, participants travel from country to country, visiting the most beautiful and iconic places on the planet. In the Kyrgyz Republic, filming will take place in the cities of Bishkek and Osh, where participants, finding themselves in an unfamiliar country and environment, without knowing the language and culture, must complete all assigned tasks.
The race through Kyrgyzstan will be shown in prime time on the “CBS” channel for 2 hours, and the Kyrgyz Republic will be portrayed exclusively in a positive light, which will enhance the country's tourist appeal to the audience of the channel in North America.
